Bruce Henries - Choreographer - Dancer
Bruce's showbusiness career kicked off at the age of 15 when
he began with the Italian Opera Company as a dancer. Then
followed several years with the J.C. Williamson Theatre
Company (an institution in Australian theatre history) in
productions of "Can Can", "The Pyjama Game", "My Fair Lady",
"Fade Out Fade In".
Next Bruce moved to television where he choreographed and danced on the long running variety show "In Melbourne Tonight" which was hosted in turn by Graham Kennedy, Burt Newton and Toni Lamond. Then followed "Bandstand" with Brian Henderson, "Here's Dawn" with Dawn Lake, "The Sound of Music" with Bobby Limb and "In Sydney Tonight" with Don Lane. Bruce trained at the Royal Academy of Dance with Joan and Monica Halliday, Katy Gorham and Martin Rubinstein. He also studied Acrobatics at RUDAS and Tap at the Imperial Dance School. He later applied his experience to Production Design for the Club Industry and Corporate Conventions as well as maintaining an active involvement in choreography and coaching performers in dance. email : tedjamesagency@hotmail.com
