Rhythms - Walking and Skipping Rhythms in music are based on bodily movement including dance. The crotchet generally represents steps in a steady walk.
Quavers represent running - on the tiptoes and necessarily lighter than crotchets.
Skipping, on the other hand is represented by a dotted rhythm ![]() SKIP through a scale. Can people skip to your dotted notes? |
